Hacking Hate Camp (2020)

Hacking Hate Camp is a convening initiated by KRYSS Network to bring together participants from a diverse group of background such as media, research, advocacy, content creators, influencers, techies etc, to unpack and strategise against online hate speech and gender-based violence. It acts as a rethinking ground around a safer and inclusive digital event space that is based on the principles of non-discrimination, gender equality and one that is centred around gendered experiences and relationship with technology.

In 2020, we had our first Hacking Hate Camp convening virtually due to the pandemic. In 2023, we revived the initiative and held it physically for the first time at Janda Baik, Pahang.
